We are so excited to announce our summer musical "Lucky Stiff.” This musical comedy will be directed by Kjersti Fried. Auditions coming soon!

Lucky Stiff is a madcap, hilarious romp of a musical that follows Harry Witherspoon’s journey from England to Monte Carlo...with a rather unusual traveling companion. Harry receives the unexpected news that he has inherited a fortune from his late Uncle Anthony, on the condition that he takes Anthony’s dead body on a special trip to Monte Carlo. If Harry fails, the money will go to Annabelle Glick from the Universal Dog Home of Brooklyn. However, Uncle Anthony’s lover Rita is on Harry’s tail to get the $6 million she embezzled from her husband back before her brother Vinnie is blamed for the crime. With mistaken identities, potential love, disguises, chase scenes and an omnipresent co**se, Lucky Stiff will keep you laughing and guessing who will come out on top.

Savannah Gray is excited to be part of Warroad Summer Theater for the first time this season. She is contributing her talents in costumes, prop painting, and stage makeup. Savannah has a background in theatrical makeup and previously directed Disney’s “Coco” in Texas. Originally from Ohio, she brings creativity and passion for the arts to every production she’s involved in.

Thank you, Savannah for bringing your talent and creativity to the table and helping bring "Run for Your Wife" to life!

On today's "Meet the Cast" is Verna McVay. Verna is an invaluable part of Warroad Summer Theatre. Not only is she the director of this play but also serves the WST board as president. We are incredibly grateful for her leadership, endless talents and the friend she is to all of us! Below you may read her "Director's Corner" from the play's program.

Sometimes a person takes on a project without realizing how many twists will come along and change it into something they never expected. Such is the tale of Run for Your Wife.
This cast has forged friendships and faced a wild ride filled with everything from illness to absences to switches in the cast itself. Yet, somehow, they have dealt with each roadblock in a way that made the play better.
Many thanks go out to Kamarra Brunelle for being an amazing assistant director and sounding board. Thank you Matt and Savannah for putting up with my zany ideas and giving me a few of your own. To my cast, you have earned my respect and awe for all you have accomplished.
Finally, thank you to all who have joined us tonight. Please enjoy the show and remember, the cast gets paid in laughter, so please pay them well!
