The crew was out tonight. Conditions on path are getting tough. With Yeti Fest and the 12UA state going on the crew decided to do a full send. The path is ready for about mile. Lake of the Woods Brewing Company Minnesota rink, Doc's Harbor Inn, Lake of the Woods Coffee Company are the best jump on points. Have fun. See you on the path

It’s been a very tough and do we say “weird” year for the path. The crew was out this morning brooming the path courtesy of Ironhide Equipment and getting it ready. Not much time left in the season so get on the Riverbend Skatepath!!! Jumping off points are Doc's Harbor Inn, Lake of the Woods Brewing Company Minnesota with the Border Bank warming hut, and Lake of the Woods Coffee Company! The crew will keep it going as long as possible but fluctuating temps are tough. See you all on the path!

Just a quick update on the skatepath progress on what has been deemed the worst year the crew has experienced. We’ve got the Border Bank warming house Lake of the Woods Brewing Company Minnesota and one at Doc's Harbor Inn ready for skaters. The crew has been flooding the path whenever Mother Nature allows. Lately it’s been to warm to get a good freeze. Trees have started to get placed along with firepits. We still have very rough ice in spots and will continue to work on flooding if temps allow.

We are definitely trying to get the path ready as it’s the worst we’ve seen since inception. Tonight we started flooding...

We are definitely trying to get the path ready as it’s the worst we’ve seen since inception. Tonight we started flooding and it was going good but we found poor ice and dropped a piece of equipment through. We will start flooding again tomorrow mid morning. If you see traffic cones out do not go past them as the path is being flooded

Thank you all for your patience as we get rolling. The crew spent the day working on the far end where we had a lot of snow and slush. Thanks to Warroad Area Women of Today for hosting bingo at the Hampton Inn Warroad with proceeds going to the Skatepath. This years conditions required a snow blower and the proceeds from all of your participation at bingo made it happen!!! The crew snowblowed the remainder of the path up river and then plowed with the Ironhide Equipment UV 34 through a lot of slush pockets. The crew is going to spend Christmas with family and will be back at it Friday and hoping to flood this weekend. On behalf of the Riverbend Skatepath crew we thank you for all of your support and wish everyone a Merry Christmas!! See you on the path.

Good and bad news. Good is we got from the brewery rink to Docs plowed. And now the not so good. The crew spent 4 hours with the Ironhide Equipment UTV34 and an ATV to open the Lake of the Woods Brewing Company Minnesota rink to the Doc's Harbor Inn rink. Unfortunately we encountered a lot of heavy slush by plowing . If anyone has an ATV or UTV mounted snowblower for rent or for purchase, let us know so we can blow this snowpack out and get to making a path!!!

As you may have noticed work on the path has commenced! We are running into a lot of tough working conditions from slush, to open water, to rough ice and minimal ice. Consequently we’ve had to resort to using atvs to get the initial path carved out and will have a crew going most of the night tonight. With tomorrow’s expected warm temps we’re encouraging everyone to refrain from using the path as we need it to heal which we hope a little melting will do. We do our best to get the path open this weekend but aren’t able to ensure that it will be broomed yet. See you all on the path soon!!!
