Sorry for the silence over the last year. I honestly thought I would be back to teaching on a smaller scale at this point, but it has been a long year of transitions. I have been navigating being an independent artist and it’s been a wild ride. The art fair world is very competitive, but I have been lucky enough to get juried into some fantastic shows. See my spring schedule below.

I will possibly be pushing into one or two places to teach some classes but they will be very limited. I will post those classes here, but will mainly use this page for my own art moving forward. So feel free to unfollow if you’re not interested, just giving you a heads up. I miss my students and think about them often, and who knows…I may return to it in the future. Thank you to everyone that supported my classes over the years, I have such fond memories.

Artist Workshop- Landscape Oil Painting Workshop

Join Amy Jamison for a full-day workshop giving participants a thorough and enriching artistic experience!

In this workshop, we will discuss underpaintings and how to sketch your basic outline with paint. We will do a quick warm up as a group, and then participants will break apart and work on their own paintings. Students may bring a landscape photo or use the same one as the instructor. Materials will be provided but students may also bring their own materials if they wish. There will be a midday break for lunch, so feel free to bring your own.

I’m posting this here today to make sure parents of all current students see this and for anyone thinking of reaching out for classes. I sent this letter home this week. I appreciate you❤️

Hello,

I’m writing to let you know that I will be closing the studio at the end of February. It has been a
privilege to teach so many kids what I am passionate about. I have some big things coming
starting in March and will not be able to maintain both my own artwork, and running the studio.
Things will be up in the air for a while. If I am able to reopen in the fall, you all will be the first to
know.

Thank you for supporting your child’s desire to be creative and my desire to to build a creative
community. I have truly met some of the most kindred spirits and I am so grateful for that.
