Just a reminder... because I think sometimes people assume I’m only looking for big projects...

I’m not.

I LOVE a good one-session tattoo.

If you’ve got a smaller idea you’ve been sitting on, and you’ve got a couple hundred bucks to spend, and just want something cool, send it my way.

I was thinking about this the other day...

There are people walking around in this world with something I drew permanently on their BODY.
That's fu***ng crazy. 😂
I've been tattooing long enough that it would be really easy to let that become normal.
But it isn't.
You trusted me.
You sat in my chair.
You told me your stories.
You let me draw on you.
You let me change the plan when something looked better on your body than it did on paper.

Some of you have come back over and over and over again...and somewhere along the way

I got to watch your lives change too.

Marriages. Babies. Divorces. New jobs. Losses. Fresh starts. Celebrations. Absolute disasters. 😂
And then you come back and we pick up wherever we left off.
That's one of my favorite parts of this job that really doesn't have anything to do with tattooing.

So...to the people who keep trusting me with little pieces of themselves...

I think one of the strangest things about getting older is realizing how many different versions of yourself you have already been....

I have been brave.
I have been scared sh*tless.
I have stayed places too long.
Left things I thought I couldn't live without....

Started over. Fu**ed things up. Fixed things. Lost people I thought would be here forever.....

Met people I never knew I needed.

And somehow through all of it...I kept making things.

Drawing. Painting. Tattooing.

Building something out of whatever pieces I had left.

Art has been one of the few things that has followed me through every single version of myself.
Some days it's my career. Some days it's therapy. Some days it's literally just me sitting there with the mushrooms.

And I think maybe that's part of why I love tattooing so much. I get to make something with another human being that becomes part of THEIR story too.

That's pretty fu***ng rad when you really think about it. 🖤

Not every tattoo has to have a profound meaning.... Sometimes you just want something cool on your body.

Some of my favorite appointments start with, “Okay, I have this weird idea…”
Bring me the bird. The mushroom. The creepy little thing. The beautiful thing. The idea you’ve had saved in your phone for three years because you weren’t sure what to do with it.

Part of what I love about tattooing is taking that little seed of an idea and figuring out how to make it belong on you. Not just making a pretty picture, but considering how it moves with your body and creating something that feels like it was supposed to live there.
I’m always interested in projects that give me room to create.

If you’ve been sitting on an idea, maybe it’s time to finally send it my way. 🖤
