Since 2021, Folk at the Farm has been a beloved staple of the local community, offering a picturesque blend of live music, vibrant art, and delicious food and drink. From its roots at Frerichs Farm in Warren, Rhode Island, the event became the ultimate destination for families to grab their chairs and blankets and settle in for a quintessential New England fall afternoon. As we celebrate five years of memories, we are excited to announce a new chapter: we are officially passing the reins to the Warren Holiday Festival, who will now serve as the lead organizer. While the leadership is changing, the spirit of community and the celebration of local culture remain as strong as ever!

It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge the passing of one of Warren’s truly great community members and supporters.

David, alongside Barbara, has been an enormous supporter of our community and a friend to so many of us. Their kindness, generosity, and dedication have left a lasting mark on Warren and on the people fortunate enough to know them.

This is a tremendous loss, but we are deeply grateful that David was part of our lives and part of this community.

Services will be held on May 19. Please keep Barbara and the family in your thoughts, and send your love and support during this difficult time.

With very heavy hearts, we must share with our community & friends that David has passed away. He was a beloved friend, father, husband, farmer, and teacher to many. Without question his legacy will live on in all of our hearts.

Calling hours will be held at Smith's Funeral Home in Warren on Tuesday May 19th from 3pm-7pm. Funeral services will be privately held.

Thank you for your thoughts and support during this difficult time.

(Please note: the farm will be closed on the 19th.)
