THE GIVER | Saturday June 6th, 4:15pm | FREE

Following a successful March performance at the Ailey Citigroup Theater in New York City, we are thrilled to bring this second iteration of the work to the stage at Rutgers University and would love to have our community there to support these artists.

The Giver is an original contemporary dance work based on the novel of the same name by Lois Lowry. Through movement and collaborative storytelling, the dancers investigate the themes of memory, emotion, humanity, and community. The Giver is an exploration of one child’s struggle and ultimate choice to live bravely, albeit painfully, in the face of societal monotony.

Ballet Company Showcase!! Our dancers in our pre-professional ballet company spent the spring learning technique and classical ballet, and our advanced leveled dancers learned and performed their own individual variations!!
