🧌🧜‍♀️ Things are underway here for our "Respect the Locals" cast. With beautiful costumes designed by our student costumer, Ellie. Blocking is extravagantly exciting designed by our student directors/ student managers Cadence and Sydnie. This show going to be "legendary"!

- stupidity, or risk becoming an idiot yourself... but do it with confidence!

Today our two high school students were tasked with blocking a scene from Fools. Giving our teens an opportunity to learn to direct and giving our middle schoolers an opportunity to learn new styles of direction. Next week they will be picking new genres from a hat to change the entire style of the show. BUT the script, characters, and blocking stay the same!

🐠🌷 Neil Simon's [Fools] Starts Today!🐑👨‍⚕️
- Our Hartthrobs asked for another 3 weeks of acting workshops utilizing the comedy "Fools" and of course, we delivered!

Fools is a comic fable by Neil Simon that follows Leon Tolchinsky, a young schoolteacher who arrives in the cursed, late-19th-century Ukrainian village of Kulyenchikov. He has 24 hours to educate the doctor's beautiful daughter, Sophia, and break a curse of chronic stupidity, or risk becoming an idiot himself.

We will be utilizing the 1981 comic fable to learn:

📖 Monologue Techniques
🤪 Comedic Delivery
🎭 Stage Presence and Body Language

👏🏼 Trudi H.

Trudi is beyond excited to be back with her girl Shiloh to help out! She is a devoted honors student, involved in more than 12 clubs around her school, senior class president, and takes every opportunity to work as a performer for Castle on a Cloud as a princess. She has recently been seen in MTC: Dear Evan Hansen (Ensemble), Mean Girls (Karen Smith), Stranger Sings! (Ensemble/ Nancy and Eleven U.S); Kent State: Legally Blonde (Kate), American Idiot (Alysha); Youngstown Playhouse:Oklahoma! (Virginia/Featured Dancer), Alice in Wonderland Jr. (Alice); Oakland: Beauty and the Beast Jr (Belle); Miscellaneous: Disaster! A 70's jukebox musical (Twins Ben and Lisa). She is honored to thank her family, friends, and school for all of the support they've given her. "Have courage and be kind"!

Tomorrow is our parent meeting and first rehearsal. Woo- hoo! We are so excited to begin. Let's get ready for another fun filled summer with the library tour!

• yourself, a positive attitude, a water bottle and dress comfy!
