Viviva Colors A fun new way to paint on the go: Anytime, Anywhere without any mess! Hello, I am Aditya, an amateur painter and a 2nd-year medical student.

I have been painting since childhood as a hobby, but ever since I started med school, I just couldn't find the time to paint. While studying one of the diagnostic techniques that involves picking up substrate from a paper, inspiration struck and viola- Viviva Colorsheets were born! I worked with an expert in pigments and dyes for the last two years and together we've developed what we think are the most vivid and beautiful transparent watercolors that are portable and easy to use.

Reveal at the end! Just a quick glimpse into my painting process. This is the nitty gritty of being a full time mom and working artist. My plan today was to paint my sweet puppy Emma for National Dogs Day. Though I’m a professional artist, I’m not even the slightest bit a portrait artist, be it pets or people. I was excited to give it a go and finished this painting with a little help from my youngest in two short painting sessions. You guys, painting a dark brown dog is hard! I’m happy I tried it and pleased with the progress. It’s a fun little piece in my sketchbook. I think I’ll add sunflowers to the adjoining page. What do you think?

Let’s do something fun! It’s officially time for all our sweet teachers and students to head back to the classroom. This time of year can be super stressful and since nothing beats stress as well as creativity we want to offer a little help! We’ll be gifting one Travel Kit to a teacher and a student who could use a little creative break! Our Travel Kits are the perfect on-the-go art making kit. Each travel kit includes a full-sized Colorsheets, a sketchpad, a waterproof pen, and a waterbrush. It’s the perfect size to keep in your desk or backpack for a one stop art break! If you’d like to enter yourself or nominate someone else, just like and save this post! Make sure you’re following us and tag your favorite teacher or student. We will pick our winners on August 31st!

Our August Art Challenge is Back to Class! So after morning drop off, on the first day of school, I went home and painted. I have loved painting in my sketchbook with a bit of a journalistic approach. So I painted this little apple with a lovely yellow underpainting. I’m not typically one to do a lot of glazing but painting in the sketchbook makes me feel more free and open to experimenting. Do you feel this way? Let me know if you have any questions about this style of painting and I’ll do my best to help!
