ATMOSPHERIC EQUILIBRIUM
What a week.
Over the course of , Ralph and I brought this 12’ x 8’ live mural to life beside the Art Gallery, where thousands of festival-goers watched it evolve from sketch to finished piece.
The mural explores transformation, balance, and the space between worlds - a journey from the forests of Appalachia into a cosmic landscape of energy, atmosphere, and interconnectedness.
Huge thanks to Chris, the entire Mountain Music Fest family, the staff, volunteers, artists, musicians, vendors, and everyone who makes this gathering such a special place year after year.
A special shoutout to crew for hosting us, to Ashton and everyone who helped create such an inspiring creative space, and to the kitchen staff who kept us fueled with absolutely delicious meals all weekend long.
Much love to .snyder and for their support throughout the event, and to the entire Splash Art team whose hard work behind the scenes makes projects like this possible.
One of the most rewarding parts of the weekend was watching people connect with the finished mural Saturday night. We shared conversations about symbolism, spirituality, transformation, and personal revelation. At one point, a Luna Moth landed directly on the mural and became part of the artwork itself. Moments like that can’t be planned and won’t soon be forgotten.
This one was a banger, and we’re grateful to everyone who stopped, looked, shared a story, asked a question, or spent a moment with the piece.
Until next time, MMF. ❤️
P.S. The title Atmospheric Equilibrium sounds like it came from some profound cosmic revelation. In reality, while setting up camp, Marq was reading the instructions on a self-inflating mattress and came across the phrase “allow to reach atmospheric equilibrium.” We all looked at each other and instantly knew we had our title.
