Walton Porchfest is this weekend! Saturday, June 15th, from 10am to 4pm, over 30 musicians and bands will play on porches, in storefronts, and at local venues around Walton, NY. This very fun event is free to the public and will have you tapping your feet the entire time.

Hey all! I'm excited to finally announce the relaunch of the new Caroline Fay Studio, in Walton NY, (formerly Big Little Art Studio.) If you're new to this corner of the Catskills, allow me to share a bit of my journey and some exciting news ahead.

I'm an Irish artist and educator who relocated here from London in 2017. My work is inspired by the natural world and our place within it. I paint threatened species and habitats, birds, animals, subtle details of moody landscapes, all in a palette drawn from nature. I am also passionate about teaching and have taught classes and intensive art workshops across the UK, Ireland, France, and New York. I sell my work online, accept commissions and in 2022, had a successful solo show at Hawk & Hive, Andes, NY. That same year, I welcomed my first child into the world, infusing both my personal and professional life with a new sense of purpose and inspiration and I've been slowly learning how to balance a creative practice with motherhood ever since.

I opened the doors to ‘Big Little Art Studio’ in September 2017. Over the years, it has not only been home to my personal painting studio but also a hub for exhibitions, art workshops, community events, live performances, and seasonal markets. Just as humans are designed to evolve, our businesses are too. With this new name, comes a renewed focus and I look forward to offering continued community engagement, enriching art education, collaboration and most importantly, focused attention to my art!

For those in the area, I will be hosting an informal gathering to celebrate the new and updated studio on Friday April 12th from 5-7pm. To my valued friends, collectors and patrons, please stop in for some art, refreshments and music. I will be offering a 20% discount on all art prints exclusively for the night and sign ups will swing open for new upcoming workshops!
