The SC Artisans Center is accepting entries from artists across the Palmetto State, with a special invitation to artists in Allendale, Dillon, Lee, Marion and McCormick counties.

We’re always looking to grow our collection and bring more of South Carolina’s talented artists and makers into the spotlight. If you create something here in the Palmetto State, we’d love for you to consider submitting your work.

Every artist has a story, and Sharon James' is one about following curiosity.

What started with metalworking eventually led her to a beadmaking class in North Carolina. That one experience changed everything, inspiring her to trade in her tools, pick up a torch, and begin creating glass jewelry.

Each one is woven by hand using techniques that have been passed down through generations, making every basket a piece of South Carolina's living history.

When you visit, you'll find handcrafted sweetgrass baskets that celebrate both the artistry and the tradition behind this historic Lowcountry craft.

Take a stroll through the garden and you'll find handcrafted art tucked among the flowers, raised beds, and walking paths. It's a peaceful spot to slow down, look around, and enjoy another side of the Center.
