Give the Gift of the Arts this Giving Tuesday!

Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday, a global movement inspiring the generosity of giving to others.

Throughout the year, we partner with the Community Arts Foundation/ Center for Community Arts to support arts scholarships for students of all ages that may not otherwise be able to access the arts.

This work is not possible without donations from community members like you.

Elliot W. Eisner, a professor of education and art at Stanford University, emphasized that the arts allow children to express what words alone cannot convey. He argued that the arts are valuable not just as a means to teach other subjects, but should be appreciated and taught for their intrinsic worth.

ARTS FOR ALL

For many in our own community, the cost of participation in visual and performing arts programs prevent them from experiencing the joy, satisfaction, growth and wide range of benefits – developmental, academic, personal and social – that creative endeavors provide. With the generous help of individuals, businesses and organizations, the Community Arts Foundation strives to provide "Arts for All".

Since 2006 the Community Arts Foundation (previously the Friends of Civic Arts Foundation) has granted over 1000 scholarships to children, adults and seniors to help pay class, workshop, camp, preschool or other program costs.

We are a 501(c)3 non profit.
