Swipe to watch five groups become someone else entirely.

A few days ago, we showed you the view from inside the Roaming AI Booth at Wednesday's Gift fundraiser. We want to highlight a few more of these AI transformations.

A couple in polo shirts became Norse warriors. Four friends at a cocktail table became an 80s yearbook. A woman mid-laugh became a film noir detective.

Which one would you want to be?

We put a camera on top of the Roaming AI Booth at the Wednesday's Gift annual fundraiser and let it run. Eighteen seconds of guests posing, then the moment they see their AI portrait. That last part never gets old.

The moment people bond over a picture is not when the picture is taken, but when they see the final reveal.

We brought our mobile AI photo experience to Confluent’s company event. Our job was to get people engaged and talking to one another.

If you watch the experience, it's that 20-second gap between the picture being taken and them seeing it that gets people talking.

A group steps in, the portrait is generated, and they stand there together because none of them knows what it will look like. It lands, they all react at once, and then somebody says, “Let's try the another one,” and back in they go.

That is the difference between a picture you take home and one you keep going back for.

Six styles on every build. Three are in here: customized with Confluent’s brand colors.

What actually gets your team mixing at a company event?

A client asked us to build a mani cam.

(we had to look it up.)

If you watched award shows in the early 2000s, you remember it. A tiny runway, a camera pointed down, fingers walking past the lens.

Creative Drinking Agency wanted it back for Figma's Config conference in San Francisco. One video station, a compact footprint, a miniature Figma branded runway, and an edited clip in every guest's hand before they left the booth.

Two days. 360 sessions. 900 video views. And a steady line of designers asking how we came up with it.

Small build, but a big moment. That is the power of an idea that fits your audience.

It's still one of our favorites to date.

What is the one of the most unique ideas you've been asked to build?

October is when the holiday party finally lands on someone's desk. Usually with a limited budget, no time, and a room full of people expecting something new.

Here is what we keep recommending: AI Photo Experiences.

Guests step in, pick a world, and walk out with a portrait of themselves inside it.

Cartoon characters in Santa's sleigh. High energy winter sports. A tropical surf scene for a summer take on winter. An editorial Vogue style cover. Any time period you want to dress the room in.

Simple to run. Entertaining all night. And guests actually want to post it.

If you could tell AI to build any world for your guests, what would it be? Tell us in the comments.

Five factors impact whether a photo or video activation grabs attention and generates quality leads at trade shows. The type of activation you book is only one, and that is where most of the budget goes.

These come from our real observations when working with clients and come up consistently.

1. Audience fit. What photo and video activation you choose and for whom matters more than what is the newest or most exciting activation available.

2. The environment. Make the activation a destination. Supporting signage, screens, furnishings, or the exhibit design itself. Attendees should see it from a far and think that is a place to arrive to.

3. Building an experience with no clear connection to the brand. If the experience feels disconnected from the brand, it ends up becoming a decoration, not something with purpose that attendees connect to or understand.

4. Gamify or reward participation. "Complete this and unlock a reward" is a reason. Challenges, leaderboards, and share incentives keep guests in the space longer.

5. Speed. The more seamless and faster they receive content, the better. Don’t over complicate the process and set aside budget for wired connections or dedicated Wifi signal for the fastest delivery.

Larger events deserve several months of planning. That runway is what allows for creative development, production, testing, and coordination with organizers, and it is usually the difference between an activation that performs and one that simply exists.

Planning a conference or trade show this fall? Tell us what you are working on and we will put together an approach built for your audience and your goals.

Turns out we clean up alright.

We spend most of our time making other teams look their best, so we finally gave ourselves the same treatment. Same lighting setup, same posing direction, same instant delivery we bring to every corporate activation.

Most teams are still using headshots from three hires ago. If your leadership page or LinkedIn lineup looks nothing like your current team, that is a quick fix and a strong first impression.

When did your team last update its headshots?

Hundreds of visitors. How many remember you?

Attendance is the easiest number to track, but it doesn’t tell you if your activation actually made an impression.

Activations people still talk about are the ones where the audience made or affected something instead of watching it happen. They become contributors or co-creators with the brand in a way that feels meaningful.

That is the part people remember and share.

What activations have you seen that put human connection at the forefront? Let us know in the comments.

This past May we exhibited at Experiential Marketing Summit (EMS) in Las Vegas with the goal of forging new connections in the experiential industry space while debuting our new Imprint Experience; an AI powered trading card completely virtual from a personal device.

We had the fortunate opportunity to bring our Imprint Experience to a veterinarian summit with Practice Health in Chicago all because of the connections we made at EMS.

When seeing it in action, we loved the results. Guests were engaging with each other while answering quiz questions and showing off their unique AI trading cards.

You know when an activation does well when it gets people talking. That’s where brand impressions start to form.

With so many possibilities achievable through this activation, we wonder what we can create next.

How do you see this experience for your brand? Let us know your ideas.
