The last four days have been a colorful blur of activity at Art Works! Studio!

An adult mosaic pARTy, children’s golden pumpkins, a children’s needle-felting pARTy, alcohol inks with adults, watercolor class, and Drawing Beyond the Basics. So many materials, ideas, and individual ways of making—and so much happening around our studio tables.

I love seeing what people discover as they work: a color combination, a new technique, or an idea that takes an unexpected turn.

Have the fall leaves been making you want to pick up a paintbrush? Me too. There’s so much color to notice right now—and several ways to spend some creative time with us at Art Works! Studio in Walled Lake.

🍂 FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16
Adult Watercolor with Sasha: the 11 AM session is sold out, but we’ve added an afternoon session, 1:30–3:30 PM.

🍂 SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17
Alcohol Inks: Fall Florals and Pumpkins with Julie, 11 AM–1 PM. Explore flowing ink and rich autumn color. $45.

Art for Children at 2 PM and Adult Watercolor with Sasha at 3:30 PM.

🍂 SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18
Artist Trading Cards: make with us at noon, then gather for Trading and Tea at 1 PM. I’ve been having so much fun making my own little cards and look forward to seeing what everyone brings.

There’s also Sunday studio time for teens.

🍂 MONDAY, OCTOBER 19
Adult Watercolor with Sasha at 5 PM—a little creative time to begin the week.

🍂 WEDNESDAY
Watercolor & Gold Leaf: Autumn Leaves with Julie. Another way to explore the season’s colors, with a touch of gold.

Come spend some time with color, materials, and other people who enjoy making things by hand.

A little broken china, a little imagination, and something beautiful begins to take shape.

Our Mosaic Maker's Choice workshops return this November and December, with holiday ornament options joining the collection of projects you can create.

Working with colorful pieces of broken china, you'll arrange shapes, colors, and patterns into a mosaic that is entirely your own. Bev of Eye Candy Mosaics will guide you through the process.

The people who cared for us, the stories we carry, the places that have shaped us: there is room for many kinds of connection in October’s SoulCollage® circle, Sheltered by the Ancestors. There is room for complexity, too.

Join me Sunday, October 11, noon–2 PM Eastern, at Art Works! Studio in Walled Lake or online via Zoom.
