Volunteers needed!

The Inspired Acting Company is looking for a few more volunteers for the **West Bloomfield Fine Art Show on June 20 & 21**.

This is a new event for us, and we’ll be helping support the informational booth area alongside the event team. No special experience needed, just friendly people willing to help welcome visitors and share a little about what we do.

Volunteer shifts available:

Saturday
• 10 AM–2 PM
• 2 PM–6 PM

Sunday
• 10 AM–1:30 PM
• 1:30 PM–5 PM

The Inspired Acting Company is building our **2026–2027 Season (Season Four)** and we’re looking for talented collaborators to help bring our next year of work to life.

Teaching Artist – Summer Programs (Part-Time / Contract)

The Inspired Acting Company | Downtown Walled Lake, MI

The Inspired Acting Company is seeking energetic, collaborative **Teaching Artists** to join our **Summer 2026 Education Team**.

This is an opportunity to spend your summer helping young artists build creativity, confidence, and performance skills in a professional theatre environment. We’re looking for artists who are passionate about working with young people and excited to create engaging, meaningful experiences through theatre.

Summer Programs

🎭 **Youth Theatre Camp (Ages 8–13)**
**Term 1:** July 13–17, 2026
**Term 2:** August 3–7, 2026

🎭 **Teen Theatre Camp (Ages 13–18)**
**Term 1:** July 20–24, 2026
**Term 2:** August 17–21, 2026

Teaching opportunities may include:

* Acting
* Improvisation
* Musical Theatre
* Creative Drama
* Character Development
* Movement & Storytelling
* Ensemble-Based Performance
* Theatre Creation and Performance Skills

Compensation

**$25–$30 per hour**
Compensation is based on experience, assignment, and teaching responsibilities.

Scheduling & Availability

Teaching Artists **do not need to be available for every camp session or for the full camp day.** We welcome applicants with **partial availability** and will work to build schedules based on instructor availability, student enrollment, and program needs.

Whether you are available for a full week, select days, mornings only, afternoons only, or a single session, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

* Lead engaging, age-appropriate theatre classes and camp experiences
* Create a supportive, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
* Collaborate with the Educational Program Director on curriculum and planning
* Communicate with staff regarding student needs and program logistics
* Help create an exceptional educational experience for students and families

Qualifications

* Experience working with youth or teens in educational or theatrical settings
* Background in theatre, performance, musical theatre, directing, movement, or related disciplines
* Strong communication and classroom management skills
* Reliable, collaborative, and student-centered approach
* Passion for theatre education and mentorship

Our final weekend of *Ugly Lies the Bone* begins tonight in Downtown Walled Lake.

We’ve been incredibly moved by the conversations this production has sparked about healing, identity, home, and what comes after survival.

This week, The Jewish News called the production an “emotional punch,” and we’re grateful for the thoughtful coverage and for every audience member who has joined us these past three weekends.
