“With God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26 New Painting!!
My mom always says “hold it lightly in your hand”. What does this mean? Hold everything we “think” we want lightly…because God is the only one who really knows what is absolutely best for us. Of course he wants us to be content and happy but he knows giving us everything we think we want isn’t the path to true happiness. He can absolutely make all things happen for us but he has given us a brain and free will and the Holy Spirit to help us navigate this life into what God has for us…which is sometimes different than what we think we want. Surrendering your plans to him (freely) and holding it lightly is really the only way to a joyful life. You will then see him do the impossible over and over. It then turns into “above what we could have asked or imagined!” Which is much better than what we could have thought up!

Memorial Day weekend…loading….🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Both my grandfathers served: one in Army and the other Marines. Both on the front line and very close to never having a full life…so glad God saw it fit for them to survive it all. So many stories like this which makes us all are true miracles! The earth rose up to attention to the Lords command for you and I to exist! Not only that we are the small percent of the world living in a free country but also if you are a believer in Christ: you are an even smaller percent living in spiritual freedom!! Thank you Lord! What do we do with this? We serve…we love..we forgive…we remain grateful for the opportunity to be alive and in freedom. Thank you, Lord! 🇺🇸🙏🏻🙌

Hers is a Topsail 4th of July firework display (which she has many memories of over the years). 🎆 🇺🇸
And mine is of the flag and Gal. 5:13:
“For you were called to freedom…use your freedom as an opportunity to serve others in love.”
GALATIANS 5:13
I love this view of freedom: Part of having freedom is being able to choose whatever you want to do in life…but what is truly fulfilling? Choosing to use your freedoms to serve others will get the focus off of yourself and it’s like a miracle happens: your problems seem to fade and the fruits of the spirit seem to make an awesome entrance: joy, peace, patience, love, and even self control!
As an American…we have been given so many freedoms (thanks to all who sacrificed for us to have it!) as a believer we have our freedom thanks to Jesus sacrifice! What a blessing to be free to serve others! 😃 🇺🇸 Both available at Art of Hope!

Memorial Day weekend is approaching when we Remember all who died. Often poppies are represented on Memorial Day because these flowers thrive in harsh landscapes including battlefields almost as a representation of the blood shed. Now many times they are worn to represent the many who gave their life for our country.
