CALLING ALL JGTC ALUMNI!! HELP OUT THE JGTC BY MAKING A DONATION TODAY!

Dear JGTC Alumni and Supporters,
For many years, the John Glenn Theatre Company (JGTC) has thrived thanks to the incredible generosity of our community. Donations, ticket sales, and our annual Falloween fundraiser have allowed us to stage amazing productions and keep theatre alive for John Glenn students. But times are changing, and the reality is that our donor list has dwindled to less than 25% of what it was just a decade ago. Many of our longtime supporters have moved away—or sadly, passed on.
At the same time, the cost of producing quality theatre has skyrocketed. Just securing the rights, scripts, and music for a musical now costs over $4,000. All of which is paid from the JGTC account. The price of lumber has increased nearly 250% since 2015. We've even had to raise costume fees to $35 per student just to help cover the basic cost of materials. Meanwhile, our fundraiser income is at an all-time low. Years ago, Falloween was a major success with simple items like pizza-by-the-slices. Today, with so many food options, those same sales just don’t make the impact they used to.
We also know that the way people give has changed. Most of our alumni don’t use checkbooks anymore, and many prefer digital payment options. That’s why this fall, we’re moving our donation campaign online—through BookTix.com, the same platform we now use for show ticketing. It’s simple, secure, and makes giving easier than ever. jghs.booktix.com
If you’re able, please consider donating—just $25 from half of our alumni and their families would make a huge difference in restoring our program's financial health. Even if you can’t give right now, you can still help by sharing our campaign with fellow alumni, friends, family and theatre lovers. Every share, every post, every word of support helps us reach new audiences and keep the JGTC tradition alive.
This program meant so much to you when you were a part of it—just as it does to our current students today. Please help us keep the lights on, the music playing, and the songs and stories alive for the next generation of JGTC performers.
With gratitude,
Jennifer Medich, Director
Amanda Smith, Asst Director
