It's Showbiz Old Chap!

Transforming The Waldo into a Broadway stage takes lots of local talent, both on and offstage! In preparation for this weekend's opening of Don't Dress for Dinner, our set, lighting and sound teams are working hard to create the cozy little French country cottage where all the shenanigans will play out.

Come see the show! It's going to be jolly good fun! Performances this weekend and next. Tickets at thewaldotheatre.org/theatre

Pictured are Alan Rich Boyer, set construction, Ken Stevenson and our youngest crew member Stella preparing lighting gels, and Samantha Mehlhorn and Eddie Holm at the tech desk.

Northern Cross is a tribute to America’s first supergroup, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. Based in the northeastern U.S., Northern Cross straddles all the genres of popular music encompassed by the eclectic career of CSNY, from country rock to confessional ballads, from acoustic guitars and voice to electric rock and psychedelia, all centered around a perfect replication of the intricate vocal harmonies CSNY is most loved for.

Northern Cross are the standard bearers for the Woodstock counterculture in New England and beyond. With Northern Cross you will relive (or experience for the first time) the gripping emotions of a CSNY live performance, with all the tones and grooves, melodies and moments you would expect from the real thing.

Community Theatre Takes a Village!

The Waldo's upcoming Don't Dress for Dinner production is truly a representation of our midcoast community! The all volunteer cast and crew draws from Waldoboro (George Bates, Debe Loughlin, Samantha Mehlhorn, Carolyn Owens, Ell Stanton, Ken Stevenson, Jack Sullivan, and Shari Wills), Damariscotta (Laura Morris and Christine Andersen), Jefferson (Anna Marlies-Hunter), Union (Alan Boyer), Camden (Eddie Holm), and Appleton (Malachi Esancy, in his stage acting debut!).

If you need a good laugh, come see this lighthearted show! Join the fun as your theatrical neighbors do their best to fill our little Waldo Theatre with the laughter and joy of a big (silly, ridiculous, absurd) Broadway comedy!

Performances June 13, 14, 19 & 20. Advance tickets are just $20, on sale now at thewaldotheatre.org/theatre
