What is that strange glow from the treeline? You know venturing towards it is unwise but something about it beckons you.

This new guide has been updated based on field testing from the first Faeble Faire as well as player, vendor, and staff feedback, so thank you all who spoke their mind!

The 2026 Playguide is also a combination of the 2025 Playguide, Rules Guide, and parts of the FAQ. Everything you need to know about Faeble coalesced into one tome!

So you want to join a Guild?

The Guilds of Faeble exist to offer roleplay opportunities for those looking for a particular theme or path, and if a player interacts with a Guild enough, they may be asked to join the Guild!
Joining a Guild adds an extra layer of specific roleplay for those who crave a distinctive style of play, and players who join a Guild do not renounce their Culture but rather become a bridge.
They become an avenue to connect the Guild to folks who may not usually seek the style of roleplay the Guild provides.

Remember - the world of Faeble is designed to be large, rich, and full of possibility, with countless stories, mysteries, and adventures to uncover whether you’re part of a Guild or forging your own path entirely - there's no pressure to join.

The land of Prairie is vast and ever expanding!
This expanse can both be liberating and daunting all at once! To prevent things from going off the rails or from freezing up completely Faeble is what we would call a Closed World Setting.

Now what exactly does that mean? A Closed World Setting is a term used to describe a world with a defined specific canon. This canon provides clarity on what exists and what doesn’t for the players. Characters from Prairie would only have knowledge of their world, and have no knowledge of things from the real world or from other larp worlds.

Faeble’s Closed World Setting provides a solid framework for roleplaying. Since the players are now on the same page about what's canon they can build off of the framework through their roleplay.

The direction that players expand helps shape Prairie and the stories being told at Faeble. Keeping the setting in a Closed World Setting allows for a more reactive world for the players.

Now that the framework is in place, what will you do in it? How will your character leave their mark on Prairie?

Have you gotten yourself in a pickle with something mundane, something the exact opposite of epic?

The situations like "My bunk room is out of toilet paper.", "Where do I go to place an incident report?", "My wristband has gone missing!"

Then stop by the P.O.N.D.!

The P.O.N.D. (Player Operations and Necessities Desk) is where you go to get support for any of your out of game issues. The Faeble P.O.N.D. acts as a base of Operations for the logical issues that guests of the Faire may run into

The P.O.N.D. will be available to assist you from 9am-Midnight. Emergency contact information will be posted on the P.O.N.D.'s door when it is not in operation.

Do you hear the drums echoing in the distance? Do you see the smokestacks of ruined villages off on the horizon? They are coming, the monsters are coming...

Faeble last year had two large scale battles, one each on Sunday and Monday. This year Faeble is having both large monster battles jam-packed into one day!

Half the players will join up with the Monster Team on Sunday morning to form ranks and take up the banner of evil! Later that afternoon the morning monster mash crew get to be the heroes while the morning warriors heed the call of evil and take the role of monsters!
