Dear Dance Families,
We hope this message finds you well and we hope you are all continuing to find ways of embracing the joy of this new normal.
From the beginning of the mandated shutdown, it is no secret that we have been struggling the past 6 months. During the reopening phases, we have tried our absolute best to manage all of the requirements to essentially rebuild our studio. We invested a great deal of time and money into re-growing our studio during this period and the reality of closing permanently has been chasing us for months. Each time we felt that we would be unable to reopen, we got back up, found a solution and pushed forward. This time we are unable to fix the problem. The whole thing has caused too much of a significant challenge from which we are unable to recover. COVID is understandably causing fear and worry and families are struggling in many ways. Unfortunately, our enrollment has dropped significantly due to the pandemic and the overhead costs are no longer sustainable.
It is with a heavy heart that due to financial hardship - in direct relation to COVID-19, we are forced to announce that MKDS will be closing permanently on October 30th 2020.
We have permission to finish out this month of dance and honor the classes that you have already paid for. We hope and pray that you can come to realize we did everything humanly possible to keep MKDS open as long as possible. Our hearts have been shattered.
WE ARE SO THANKFUL
For almost a decade, Miss Krystn's Dance Studio has brought dance education, passion, and love to the community of Wakefield. We realize there are many studio options in the area and recognize that you had a choice in where you brought your children. It's an honor that you chose us.
MKDS is a business, but it is also a home and safe place where children explore the art of dance. A place where kids grow up, are supported, encouraged, loved, and inspired. Kids thrive, dance, fall - and learn to get back up. These skills are life skills that we hope your children and all the children who have walked through our doors will take with them wherever they go.
A MESSAGE FROM MISS KRYSTN...
As the owner and artistic director, it has been a privilege and an honor to continue the tradition of sharing the art of dance with our community. I am so proud of what we have created with our team of teachers, staff, parents, and students. Most importantly, I am proud of the creative, talented and kind human beings we have helped to shape. There are relationships and memories that I will hold dear in my heart forever.
As much as it breaks my heart to end this chapter, I am looking forward to a much less stressful future where I can focus my energy on my baby girl and new family.
Although Miss Krystn's Dance Studio is coming to a close, we want to embrace the next few weeks that we have left and have the most fun we can, during class time xo
QUESTIONS
I know this sets the stage for a lot of questions. I will do my best to answer what I can. If I don't answer your questions in the email (sent to families today - Friday, October 9th), please do not hesitate to email us.
WE LOVE YOU...
We truly wish each and every one of you continue to remain safe, healthy and supported during this difficult time. And we hope our students can find a new home to continue dancing.
Thank you again for your trust in us. It has, indeed, been an honor.
All our love,
Miss Krystn & Staff
