HAPPY CLOSING TO OUR CAST, CREW, AND MUSICIANS!

Chicago: Teen Edition has been an incredible success. Tickets to today’s 2pm performance are SOLD OUT but feel free to check in with our box office starting at 1:30pm to see if any tickets have been returned. We have been able to seat some last minute patrons all weekend.

We just released some ticket holds. There are 15 seats remaining for tonight's 7pm performance. You can purchase them at www.wakefieldtheater.org. Online sales close at 5pm. Any remaining tickets will be available at the door at 6:30pm.

WAKEFIELD, MA – Wakefield Memorial High School Theater Arts is proud to announce its winter production: THE BEST WE COULD (A FAMILY TRAGEDY) by Emily Feldman. The performance will be held on Thursday, February 26 at 6:30pm at the Galvin Middle School (525 Main Street, Wakefield MA 01880). Tickets are $10 for adults and free for students. Tickets are available at www.wakefieldtheater.org and will be available at the door 30 minutes before the show. Runtime is approximately 40 minutes. The play includes strong language and adult themes.

“The Best We Could” is the Wakefield Memorial High School entry to the 2026 DramaFest, presented by the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild. The play centers on a daughter’s road trip with her father. Their journey reveals hard truths as their pasts slowly rise to the surface.

WMHS will also perform the show on Saturday, February 28 at 11:30am during the preliminary round of competition at Norwood High School. Tickets for the preliminary round can be purchased at the door for $20 and include entry to all seven productions. Other schools featured include Dexter Southfield, Weymouth, Norwood, Marblehead, Brookline, and Hull.

“The Best We Could” stars Hailey Allocco, Ben Blackstone, Carina Cataldo, Charlie LaMonica, and Lucy Spry.

The production is managed by Ruby Thomas, Declan Blair, and James Brogna. The costume, hair, and makeup team includes Clara Thomas, Abby Stratton, and Pyper Tallent. Lighting design is provided by Teddy Moore. Sound design is by Alex Baumhardt. Additional crew members include Madison Harlan, Sophie Powers, Lilian Price, Drea Randazzo, Julia Stahl, Alicia Turner, Abigail Winters, and Jessie Yarosh.

The production is directed by Will Karvouniaris. The production is supported by Tim Donahue (Technical Direction), Jack Bekampis (Scenic Design), Becky Jo Roland (Movement), and Sean Perry (Acting Coach).

The WMHS Theater Double Feature Production of "The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon" and "Broadway Cabaret" opens tonight. There are two performances - today (Thursday 11/13) at 4pm and tomorrow (Friday 11/14) at 6pm. More information can be found in the full press release below. Production photos are attached. The second half of the evening will feature the school’s singers performing songs from their favorite Broadway musicals.
Performances will be held at the Wakefield Memorial High School (60 Farm Street, Wakefield MA 01880). Performances will be held on Thursday, November 13 at 4pm and Friday, November 14 at 6pm. Advance tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. Student tickets are free at the door pending availability. In “The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon,” two narrators attempt to recreate all 209 of the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm in a wild, fast-paced extravaganza. To make it more difficult, they attempt to combine them into one gigantic fable using Rapunzel, Rumpelstiltskin, Hansel and Gretel, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and other more obscure stories like Lean Lisa and The Devil's Grandmother.
The WMHS production stars a group of seven freshmen: Rylie Bruch, Fiona Burd, Luke D’Andrea, Ava O’Connell, Sophie Powers, EJ Savage, and Will Symes.
