Two years ago… August 25 2024. 💕✨
I was just getting Glitz & Glamp off the ground when I did this Dolly Parton setup. And somehow, exactly two years later to the date, I’m looking back at it as we say goodbye to Dolly. 🥺💔
What a bittersweet coincidence.
I look at this setup now and see so many things I would do differently 😂… but I also see how far I’ve come. I was learning as I went, figuring things out one party at a time, and putting my whole heart into every single setup. And I’m still learning today.
But this one will always be special now. 💗
Dolly, you were so much more than the rhinestones, big hair and beautiful voice. You made people smile. You lifted people up. You gave without needing recognition for it. You were funny, kind, unapologetically yourself, and you had one of those spirits that just made the world feel a little brighter.
You’ve always been one of my idols, and I think the reason so many of us loved you was because you never forgot where you came from. ❤️
So today I’m pulling this old Glitz & Glamp setup out of the archives and giving it one more moment in the spotlight… because if anybody deserves a little extra glitz on her way out, it’s Dolly. ✨🦋💕
Rest easy, Dolly. Thank you for the music, the laughter, the generosity and for reminding women everywhere that you can be sweet, strong, a little sassy and covered in rhinestones all at the same time. 💎💗
