Even seasoned crocheters can find granny squares tricky—especially when it comes to tension, alignment, and clean color changes. In this focused session, we’ll break down the mechanics of a flawless granny square, from foundation to finishing. You will learn 2 different starts to your granny square & how to read a granny square chart/diagram. You’ll work on consistent spacing, smooth joins, and color changes. Think of it as precision practice with a purpose: turning a classic stitch into something strong, square, and seriously satisfying.

🤩 COOL New Knitting Class in September! 🤩

Have you ever looked at the Butterfly | Papillon shawl by MarinJaKnits and were just in awe? Now... you can do one yourself! And learn some new skills in the process.

Over the course of three Saturdays, we’ll focus on learning and mastering short rows—a versatile knitting technique used to create beautiful shaping, dimension, and movement in your projects.

Using the Butterfly | Papillon shawl, knitters will work through the project together and explore how short rows create its distinctive shape and pattern. Each session will build on the skills learned previously, giving you the opportunity to practice the techniques with guidance and support.

We are back at it today! Stitch n’ Bitch starts at 4:00 pm, 214 East Jones Ave in Wake Forest Downtown. Any fiber art welcome (knitting, crochet, cross stitch... anything portable). Promises to be a good time and great conversations with other fiber friends!
