Frascati Forest, 1982 by Connie Fox was the talk of opening reception night. With winding branches, flowing water, and an alluring door, it brought viewers in, urging them to look closer and closer.

The Eighties, now on view at Tripoli Gallery, features paintings anchored in Fox’s strong vision, made almost forty years ago. With bold, vibrant colors and thick strokes, her determined, fierce character demands to be seen.
