Why does beach combing feed my soul? What is it about sea glass that makes my heart soar? When I look at this picture, I see memories. My memories...my broken coin...my Dad’s agate...my Mom’s tea pot k**b. But I also “see” other people’s memories - memories that I will never know and can only imagine. Kids playing with marbles, mothers serving dinner on blue and white china, dads pouring Christmas treats in the candy dish. Their lost and discarded things have sort of transcended time. Those people are gone, but their memories have new life, and somehow that makes me feel like we are connected. We are all connected. Beach combing brings me so much joy, but also a little sadness and a definite dose of reality. I’m reminded of how unceasing time is. One hundred years has passed and now I hold a perfect piece of sea glass in the palm of my hand. And in another hundred years...I can only hope there is sea glass in heaven.

When I started my website, I moved away from using Etsy EXCEPT for made to order driftwood wreaths. I found that shoppers on Etsy were looking specifically for made to order pieces - they wanted to choose the size, look, etc and create unique custom items. This the the 4th driftwood wreath I’ve made in the last 4 weeks and I am in love!

I was seriously inspired by my SEAcret beach today. The treasures I find there are giant - sometimes they are so big I don’t even know what to do with them. Mega pieces of sea glass, pukas that are an inch across. I mean don’t get me wrong, I definitely take them home with me, but them I’m like...🤔🤔🤔...what to do now?
