Lumbee Homecoming is just around the corner. Tickets are on sale now for the Strike at the Wind! Outdoor drama. The production opens on July 4th at the Lumbee Tribe Cultural Center. You can see it live three weekends during the month of July. The dates are July 4, 10, 11, 17, and 18, 2026. Tickets are $10.
Strike at the Wind! brings one of North Carolina's most powerful untold stories to life under the open sky at the historic Adolph Dial Amphitheater. Set in the aftermath of the Civil War, the outdoor drama tells the true story of Henry Berry Lowrie, an American Indian man born near present-day Pembroke who, after the Confederate Home Guard murdered his father and brother, led a seven-year resistance that shook Robeson County to its core.
To those in power, Lowrie and his band were outlaws. To the Native people and many citizens in Robeson County, they were heroes.
