West Side Story is considered by many to have been a turning point in musical theatre. The sophisticated music, extended dance breaks, and socially conscious storyline was in many ways revolutionary for its day. And while the musical may originally have been set in 1950s New York City, the story of immigrants fighting for a place in their own community is one which still resonates today, even here in Waco, TX.

Performed in the pictureseque STORIES building, and featuring some of Waco's most talented singers, this isn't a show that you'll want to miss! We invite you to join us this weekend for a night of beautiful music, thrilling performances, and an incredible story!

Introducing The Jets

Jordan Fernandez
Jordan is a born and raised Texan, with Waco being her home for almost 6 years now. She’s been doing theater on and off for 23 years, including her time at MCC pursuing a theater degree, with a deep love for musical theater specifically. Recently, she starred as The Giantess in Wild Imagining’s production of “Into the Woods” and played Jacob Marley (albeit briefly) in “A Christmas Carol” before that. When she’s not performing , she’s the HR Manager for her parent’s small business, but is also married to artist Oscar Fernandez and is a Mom to three kids and a cat. She plays piano, sings as much as she can, is an activist in the community and more recently has started back in the film industry as well as getting more involved in community theater again.

Jake Kazzoli Page
Jake has been acting on the stage since 2014. They were recently seen as Romeo in Romeo and Juliet for Wild Imaginings' most recent Shakespeare in the Park. He loves storytelling in all it's mediums and believes that it is silly to call musicals unrealistic on the basis of people bursting into song and dance without warning, this happens all the time if you know where to look. He writes his bios whilst sleep deprived because self-disclosure is less intimidating that way. They study art and psychology because it's fun and humans are neat. Hobbies include: ballroom dancing, petting cats, and playing Dungeons and Dragons.

Ashley Fullerton
Ashley Fullerton enjoys working as a counsor at Camp Bow-wow and is very excited for her first show.

Elliot Freeman
My name is Elliott, I’ve been doing Rocky Horror Picture Show shadowcasts since 2015 and I’ve played seven different characters so far. I’ve also been performing as a drag king since 2017, in Waco, Austin, and Denton.
