Brought to you by the Museum Alliance of Tulare-Kings Counties join us, and the 20+ other participating museums, in celebrating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Community Invite!

The Center for Art, Culture, & History - EXETER (CACHE) will be hosting its second annual reception for the student art exhibit titled “Future Artists of Exeter”

Date: Wednesday, May 20th
Tme: 5pm - 7pm
Location: 125 S B Street, Exeter
The event is free and open to the public.

CACHE has been working with local art teachers Amy Smith of Lincoln and Rocky Hill Elementary Schools, Jeneva Tollison of Wilson Middle School, and Angie Orr of Exeter Union High School to showcase the work of their talented students. Each group exhibited their artwork for a 10-week period beginning October 4 and ending May 15.

The closing reception will allow students to see their work exhibited in front of their friends and family and to receive well-deserved recognition for their efforts.

CALL TO ARTISTS

The Tulare County General Services Agency and the Arts Consortium are requesting design proposals for painted concrete games:
• co****le set
• table tennis table
• dominos table with four stools
• a chess table with two stools

The concrete games will be located at West Main Park in Visalia.

All submissions are welcome!

ONE artist will be selected to create the designs on all the provided concrete games, which will need to follow the assigned theme throughout the set of games.

The selected artist will secure a $10,000 budget for the artist to realize their proposal.

The concrete game designs will need to include the theme of County Landmark:
• Morro Rock
• Gateway to Sequoias
• General Sherman
• Redwoods
• Giant Sequoias

All proposals should be family friendly in nature and content. Proposals must adhere to one or more of the provided themes to be considered for selection.

Community Invite!

The Center for Art, Culture, & History - EXETER (CACHE) will be hosting its third annual Wine & Art Walk!

“Red, Wine & Blue: Third Annual Art Walk” will take place on Exeter’s historic E Street on Saturday, May 16th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm

CACHE has partnered with the local E250 group that is promoting a community-wide celebration marking the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. Celebrate our country’s freedom with wine, hors d’oeuvres, craft beer, local art, and interactions with historical figures. Board member Dwight Miller will provide the history of some beautiful historic homes, which will be adorned in stunning red, white, and blue flair. Patriotic attire is encouraged.

Tickets are available for purchase for $60 each at the following locations: CACHE, 125 South B Street, Exeter; Exeter Chamber of Commerce, 101 West Pine Street, Exeter; or NSE Insurance, 160 South D Street, Exeter. Tickets are also available on the CACHE website at https://www.cach-exeter.org/event-details/artwalk.

Tickets are to be presented at the first home, located at 463 South E Street, Exeter. Guests will then receive their event program and a souvenir wine glass for tasting.

You’re invited!

Historian and curator Efrain Becerra will join us to discuss the Peter N. Carey gallery’s current exhibition, “Visalia Around the World.” Becerra will talk about the exhibition’s creation and its collection of authentic national attire from various countries. With 28 countries represented, Becerra’s “Visalia Around the World” exhibit is a great example of community coming together in celebrating diversity and cultures.

“Visalia Around the World” is currently on display in the Arts Consortium-managed Peter N Carey Gallery. An exhibition of National Attire curated by Efrain Becerra, Historian.

The exhibit runs from May 1st - June 25
