We are so excited for you to meet the next group of talented local actors bringing this adventure to the stage!

As you look at the faces behind our characters, here is a fun fact about the show itself: Did you know that The Snow has Wisconsin roots?

While the playwright, Finegan Kruckemeyer, lives and creates all the way across the globe in Australia, this winter tale was actually originally commissioned by First Stage in Milwaukee where it made its world debut in 2016. We are thrilled to bring this play back to a Wisconsin stage this December!

Drop some love for our cast in the comments, and don't forget to save the dates! You won't want to miss them in action.

Dates: December 4–6 & 11–13, 2026

An enormous snowfall, a tiny village, and an unlikely group of heroes. That's where the adventure begins in Viroqua Community Theatre's upcoming production of The Snow!

Full of humor, mystery, imagination, and heart, The Snow is a fantastical adventure for the whole family.

Of course, it takes a wonderful group of performers to bring a story like this to life, and we're excited for you to meet them!

We'll be sharing Meet the Cast posts to introduce you to the talented people bringing this adventure to the VCT stage.

Last year, I was fortunate to see Finegan Kruckemeyer's This Girl Laughs at the inspirational theater company Ten Thousand Things in Minneapolis. It was love at first sight. I knew that I wanted to direct one of his shows in Viroqua. Lucky me, Mr. Kruckemeyer wrote a play that is perfect for our winter production. Ashtonishingly, although Mr. Kruckemeyer lives in Australia, I discovered that he wrote the play as a commission for First Stage in Milwaukee and it was first performed in 2016. I am delighted to bring this play back to its homeland! We just finished auditions and will be casting it this week. So many wonderful performers showed up, you all should be so proud!! Save the date, we hit the stage the first two weekends in December!!
