🌎 Happy World Environment Day! 🌎 Did you know the Virginia Splash Pad is being designed with sustainability in mind?

Rather than sending water into a traditional storm sewer system, the splash pad will utilize a specially designed outdoor filtration system that allows water to be naturally filtered before returning to nearby Silver Lake.

This approach helps support responsible water management while creating a fun place for families to gather and cool off during the summer months.

It's just one more way this project is designed to benefit our community today while thinking about tomorrow.

🚲 Happy World Bicycle Day! Did you know one of the best features of the proposed Virginia Splash Pad is its location?

Situated in the heart of our community and connected to the Silver Lake Walking Trail, the splash pad will be easily accessible by foot, bike, stroller, or wheelchair.

Imagine biking the trail on a warm summer day and stopping to cool off at the splash pad. Families can enjoy a walk around the lake, grab a bite downtown, and make the splash pad part of their adventure.

It's more than a splash pad—it's another way to connect our parks, trails, downtown, and community.
