After two successful showings of Hello, Dolly!, we are continuing to feature our talented cast and production staff.

Layla Marie Hileman (Chorus) has been participating in the arts since middle school. She performed in Hibbing Public School’s productions of Shrek The Musical, Clue, She Slays Monsters, and her personal favorites, Beauty & The Beast, and Wild Strawberries. Once she graduated from high school, she took a break from theatre due to a lack of performing opportunities. Now, she's making her way back on the stage. Layla’s message to family and friends is, “Huge thank you to everyone who has supported me and stayed by my side during my many, many years of theater!”

🌟MMT SPOTLIGHT🌟

After two successful showings of Hello, Dolly!, we are continuing to feature our talented cast and production staff.

Jase Matuszak (Assistant Music Director) of Iron is returning to MMT, this time behind the scenes. Jase has appeared in Oklahoma!, Hadestown, The Importance of Being Earnest, Our Place, Clue, and The Addams Family. His portrayal of Hades in Hadestown earned him the Minnesota Spotlight Outstanding Actor Award, and he also received the John D. Munsell Theater Award from the Bluebird Foundation for his dedication to theatre. Jase enjoys piano, singing, reading, civics, and political activism as a DFL delegate. He will attend the University of Minnesota Duluth this fall to pursue a BFA in Musical Theatre. Jase writes, “Thank you all for the continual and unwavering commitment and love for the arts. We are in a very turbulent time for the arts, with many school programs struggling and community programs that have been mismanaged. It is a sight for sore eyes to see all the love and passion at MMT, and I thank all the actors and creative team for their work, and from all my friends, family, and community who continue to come out and support good quality theater.”

🌟MMT SPOTLIGHT🌟

After two successful showings of Hello, Dolly!, we are continuing to feature our talented cast and production staff.

Grace Warwas (Chorus) of Eveleth is making her MMT debut and participating in her first musical. She has previously performed in some plays at her church and decided to give Hello, Dolly! a try after watching the movie. Grace has sung as a soprano in the Range of Voices choir since age 17. Last year, Grace joined the Northern Lights Music Festival opera chorus in The Marriage of Figaro. Outside of performing, Grace has been a photographer since 2022. Her message to family and friends is, “I want to thank my family for understanding the many rehearsals that I have been attending, especially with all the life changes we have been experiencing lately!
