🍷🧀🎶 What an amazing time yesterday at Kiln Creek Golf Club and Resort in Newport News, Virginia! ⛳️✨

We had the opportunity to sample a great selection of fine wines 🍷, cheeses 🧀, and some delicious new menu items coming to Nest Kitchen 🍽️😋

The chefs 👨‍🍳, event team, and Kiln Creek Events organizers did an incredible job putting this experience together. I was honored to be a part of it and provide entertainment alongside the live band 🎧🎤🎸🎶

⚠️ PHISHING SCAM ALERT ⚠️
(Might not be new, but it was new to me.)

Warning to my fellow DJs, wedding vendors, and business owners.

This started as what seemed like a completely legitimate wedding inquiry. They asked about my availability, DJ packages, pricing, ceremony and reception services, gave me an email address, and eventually asked to schedule a Zoom meeting.

Nothing really felt suspicious to me until they kept insisting that I had to join the Zoom meeting from a desktop or laptop instead of my phone. That made my scam radar go off.

Sure enough, the "Zoom" link they emailed me was NOT a Zoom link. It was designed to look like one, but the actual domain was completely different.

Thankfully, I trusted my gut and checked the link before clicking it.

Don't click random meeting links just because the person has already built some trust with you. Check the actual domain first.

These scammers are getting better at making themselves look like real customers and legitimate leads.

Fellow DJs and wedding professionals, stay alert. Don't fall for scammers. Trust your gut. 👀🔒

Not everyone at a Wedding is going to stay on the dance floor all night... even though that makes the DJ in me a little sad 😂

That is exactly why adding a Photobooth is such a fun addition to your reception!

While DJ Karizma is keeping the dance floor moving, your non-dancers, camera lovers, and guests taking a quick break from bussin' a move can grab some props, squeeze into the booth, and make a few memories of their own. 📸😂

And judging by these pictures... sometimes the Photobooth becomes a whole second party. 😂
