I think one of the greatest distractions of our time is the temptation to measure our lives against what we see on a screen.
I've had moments where I've looked around and wondered if I was doing enough, moving fast enough, reaching enough people, or making enough impact. Maybe you've been there too.
But I've learned something.
Purpose isn't always loud.
Sometimes purpose looks like a meeting that changed someone's perspective.
Sometimes it looks like a conversation that gave someone hope.
Sometimes it looks like a classroom where you're preparing for something bigger than you can currently see.
Sometimes it looks like a creative idea, a prayer, an act of kindness, or a simple moment of obedience that nobody else will ever know about.
The older I get, the more I realize that purpose is less about being seen and more about being faithful.
If you take a moment to reflect, you'll often find clues to your purpose in the places where God has given you grace. The things that seem natural to you. The burdens that move your heart. The moments when serving others leaves you feeling fulfilled instead of depleted. The opportunities that allow you to bring peace, wisdom, encouragement, or solutions into a room.
Those things matter.
God did not create you to be a copy of someone else. He created you with intention. He placed gifts, experiences, wisdom, and compassion inside of you that are uniquely yours.
The goal was never to build a life around comparison.
The goal is to build a life around purpose.
So today, don't get distracted by what appears successful. Don't overlook the value of the small things. Don't underestimate what God can do through your everyday faithfulness.
Be present in the meeting.
Be engaged in the classroom.
Be intentional with your creativity.
Be thoughtful in your conversations.
Be willing to serve when no one is watching.
Because every space God has entrusted to you is an opportunity to make an impact.
And often, the moments that seem the smallest to us become the moments God uses the most.
"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."
Galatians 6:9
Stay faithful to what God has placed in your hands.
There is purpose in it.
