Newport News native, Kensie Bellamy., is a multi-faceted jazz singer who has emerged with an intimate nod to the past. Her love for Ella Fitzgerald and songbirds of her day creates an atmosphere that commands your undivided attention. She has portrayed Ella for the past eight years in different shows and now graces our humble stage. You may recognize her from productions of The Wiz or singing with such great artists such as Brand, Brian McKnight,
Jennifer Hudson, and many more.

Be sure to catch her this summer as she joins the GVI team to take on this role!

This weekend The Virginia Beach Human Rights Commission presented our founder Gary Spell with the Human Rights Award for the development of both 1619 & Contraband!
