I had the pleasure of doing some audio restoration for This Great Mercy on their recent live show. I love doing this kind of work because it’s so satisfying. Ok…. This is a game changer post for me. I recently have been having extremely loud noise coming through my high gain amps. For the passed two days I was trying everything known to man, patching every which way, trying different cables, different inputs, re-soldering XLR’s, and even getting into the attic to see if any power cables were close to my xlr wall plates.

But this…….. everything failed and I saw that I had this on my cable wall (thank you past me), I plugged this directly into my amp and then my power cable AND BOOM!!!!! It was so quiet I thought I left stand by on!!! I’m really really impressed. There’s a lot of gimmicks out there in the audio world and I’m very proud to report this is worked better than great. It’s game changing. Really great job Morley you really knocked this out of the park!!!!

Just sitting here thinking of the journey so far. 3 years has gone by so quickly. All the hard work of building what VOX is and knowing just how much further I want it to go brings be so much pride, happiness and huge drive. I wouldn’t trade it for anything and I’m so proud to be able to work and dream with my artists. WE HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO! But I’m loving every step of it. Big plans for the future!!!!

Earlier this year I had the joy to meet Danny Calderon l Productor Musical and Iza Sierra to record vocals on their song tu voz me llanó. They were so fun to be around and I was so happy to see the joy on sierras face from hearing her great performance! I look forward to working with them again soon!!!

What an incredible way to kick off the weekend at VOX!

I had the pleasure of welcoming the legendary Regina Belle M I C H A E L L I N G T O N Paul Taylor and their incredible band to the studio for rehearsals ahead of their performance at the Scope, kicking off their tour right here in Hampton Roads!

The musicianship was incredible and everyone was genuinely kind, gracious, and an absolute pleasure to have in the studio.

Moments like this are exactly what I hoped for when I built VOX. Creating a place where incredible musicians, whether from our community or traveling through on tour can come together and make music.

A huge thank you to Regina, Michael, Paul, and the entire band and crew for spending part of your tour with us. Wishing you an amazing run of shows! ❤️🎶

Had a wonderful time meeting my friend and fellow producer Alan Bays of Shed Studios last night! We got to tour each other’s studios, talk shop and most importantly share our vision for what we want our local music scene to become. His new place is awesome and I’m genuinely so happy and excited for him!

This is exactly the kind of thing we both want to see more of in our community. We want Virginia Beach to grow into a true music city. A place with a thriving connected creative community. And the only way that happens is by working together, sharing ideas, supporting one another, and building real friendships along the way.

I’m so glad Allan is close by because it gives us the opportunity to support each other, collaborate, share what we’ve learned and of course just hang out more. 😊 He’s an incredibly nice guy and seriously talented at what he does.

There’s room for all of us to succeed and the stronger we make each other the stronger our entire music community becomes.

Let’s keep building, supporting one another and creating the music scene we want Virginia Beach to be known for. 🎶

SO! A FEW BIG UPDATES!!! I just equipped the live room with a pair of wonderful live speakers and mixer.

What sparked this? I recently had several deep conversations with multiple artists about the state of places for bands and artist to practice/rehearse or write. In Hampton roads aside from one great business artists normally would use a storage unit or something to be able to practice. But with these big organizations buying up the storage places they’re not releasing to bands or simply kicking them out. THAT I CANT STAND FOR!

So with bands needing a place to practice I’ve decided to invest into them. You need to help foster the creativity in my music community and I couldn’t feel more passionate about this. When you book some time to practice or rehearse OR simply to write you get full range of the live room and instruments at the studio. This to help you from needing to lug everything around.

Until I can buy some more spaces and make a bunch of writing rooms for you guys this is what I can do in the immediate. We need to protect and provide for our artist! If you have any questions at all feel free to call or email me. 😊 have a wonderful day!!!!!

Really proud of this one! Had the incredible opportunity to work with Gavin Beyer on his latest single Mississippi Rain! He’s such a talented musician and writer and I always get blown away by his tracks. 😊😊😊 this one has so much energy and really takes you back to that true classic rock country roots.

I had the honor of working with friend Tristan for his magnum opus for the latest Trist Deangelo song! He is such a tremendous talent and writer. And even better just a good friend. 😊 we also had the chance to record live strings on this one thanks to the ever amazing Addy Hockman which really took this track to the next level. Love working with my friends!
