Olya Olya paints mostly in acrylic on canvas or watercolor and her work is best described as Expressionistic.

Olya Chulovskyy is a sixth generation artist born in Odessa, Ukraine and grew up in Florida. She studied drawing and painting throughout school and college, participating in state and local art events. Most of her training came from her mother, Violetta Chandler, world renown artist and teacher with a Master’s in Fine Arts currently based in Sarasota, FL. Staying close to family roots, Olya collab

orated with her mother, Violetta Chandler, and grandfather, Yakov Tsatskin on projects and large scale mural series.

This past weekend, I had the honor to be in the Miss Cultural pageant representing Ukraine. Over the past couple of months I have been preparing for the pageant and was finally able to present these paintings for the talent portion of the evening. Now I get to share them with everyone here. Each one has a special meaning, a tie to our culture and to my story.

Artists are auctioning paintings to support Ukraine including Violetta, Violetta Chandler, Olya Shtumeyzen Chulovskyy

Local artists have scheduled an auction on May 20 at Art Avenue, a gallery on Main Street in Sarasota. They hope to raise thousands of dollars to help the people of Ukraine at the benefit auction.
