This man's art is featured prominently in the lobby of the Presidente Intercontinental Cancun Resort.
At first, I wasn't paying attention. Then I stopped and took it all in, slowly, studiously. What an inspiring viewing. Zoom in on the wide shot to see more detail. It was challenging to photograph due to lighting.

Happiest of Birthdays to my muse, Mr. Desmond Morris. I think he's on his 900th birthday. I'm not sure. He's the author of many, many books, most notably "The Naked Ape" and producer of the show, "The Human Animal". He's an anthropologist, a zoologist, an author, and considered the "Last surrealist"...because he's also A PAINTER! He is still having one man shows and still writing books and more than anything to me, he is a constant inspiration. I was so fortunate to interview him in 2020. I love this man. I've bought his books and my goal is to own an original painting by this marvelous jewel of a human being.

I would be remiss if I let the whole weekend pass without posting about my experience at on Friday night. I went to the opening of the exhibition, "Black Voices & Visions". I was moved and inspired. Perhaps these are overused words but I really "felt" something looking at ALL of the art. Here are a few that really stood out to me.
One even made me almost cry.
I apologize in advance if I got any names incorrect.
I encourage art lovers to see this show before it closes. Google for details.
Thank you to my dear soul brother for sharing his company with me. I cherish that time.
And thank you to all the artists for putting a fire under my creeky bones.
