Tracking electric guitar today in a church that used to be a movie theater… and the vibe is unreal.
High ceilings, natural reverb, and the ghosts of a thousand matinees living in the walls. The amp isn’t just loud — it blooms. Every chord hangs in the air like it’s waiting for applause.
There’s something poetic about it:
Once a place for stories on screen.
Now a place for stories in sound.
We set up the cab where the altar might’ve been, mic’d it up, and let the room do what plugins try to imitate. No fancy tricks — just wood, air, and history doing their thing.
If you’ve never tracked guitar in a big live room like this, put it on your bucket list. Some spaces don’t just capture tone… they shape it.
