Battle In the Saddle

10/15/2026

We at Battle in the Saddle are proud to help sponsor this initiative. Honoring the Historic Attucks Warriors is an honor in itself a tribute to a legacy deeply rooted in our community.

This celebration also holds special meaning as we remember the late Glenda K. Downing, who worked to get the Historic Attucks School listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Preserving this history was dear to her heart, and we are proud to help carry that love forward.

The Attucks Warriors basketball teams were a force to be reckoned with, bringing home two championships and giving our community a legacy of excellence. This recognition has been a long time coming.

The Vinita Hornets and Lady Hornets will honor the Attucks Warriors by wearing alternate Attucks Warrior uniforms during the game, proudly carrying that history onto the court. Thank you to Former Vinita Boys Basketball Coach Tony Roach for seeing the vision and Athletic Director John Treat for helping see it through.

Join us for Attucks Night on February 6, 2027, at 2 PM at the Vinita High School Gymnasium. All Attucks alumni are invited and will be recognized!

Please spread the word and help us celebrate the teams, the alumni, and a legacy that belongs to all of us.

Their victories made history. Their legacy still moves us.🖤💛

Our Battle in the Saddle Vintage Western Wear winner was this beauty! 🤎🤠

Kiana understood the assignment. She brought vintage western style to life with a look that was sleek, classy, and just the right amount of bold. Every detail came together perfectly, but the real showstopper was her one-of-a-kind handmade skirt, created from 10 handkerchiefs. Talk about creativity and craftsmanship!

Congratulations, Kiana! We absolutely fell in love with your look, and you truly embodied the spirit of vintage western fashion. Thank you for bringing your style, confidence, and originality to Battle in the Saddle.

Wear the outfit. Tell the story. Create the legacy. ✨🐎

2026 Battle in the Saddle

06/19/2026

We know this isn't your regular rodeo and we aren't your regular brand.

At Battle in the Saddle, we're doing more than putting on an event. We're honoring the rich legacy of Pony Express relays while creating an experience the whole family can enjoy. From the thunder of the relay races to the laughter of the Watermelon Crawl, Mutton Bustin', Buddy Barrel Pick-Up, and crowd hype activities, every moment is designed to bring people together.

Join us Saturday, June 20, at the Historic American Legion Rodeo Arena in Vinita, Oklahoma, and experience why Battle in the Saddle is the MOST talked about event internationally and the highest paid in the country!!!! 😎
