🇺🇸 SURPRISE — WE'RE OPEN LABOR DAY! 🇺🇸

You know we're usually dark on Mondays… but a holiday Monday deserves a movie. Center Theater on 66 is opening the doors for MATINEES ONLY this Labor Day, Monday, September 7.

🎬 Spider-Man: Brand New Day — 1:00 & 4:00
🎬 Cars (20th Anniversary!) — 1:15 & 4:00
🎬 Coyote vs. Acme — 1:30 & 4:00

Cars turns 20 this year, and there's no better place to watch it than the oldest operating movie theater on Route 66 — during the Route 66 Centennial, no less. Ka-chow. 🏁

No school, no work, no reason to sit at home. All three matinees are movies the whole family can watch together — bring the kids, bring the grandkids, and let somebody else make the popcorn.

Matinees only — no evening shows. Back to our regular schedule Wednesday.

Three of Vinita's own landmarks are on the big screen! We're hosting a free screening of Crossroads of America: Oklahoma's Route 66, a documentary tracing the history of the Mother Road across our state — featuring none other than the Cherokee Nation Anna Mitchell Cultural & Welcome Center, Clanton's Cafe and Hi-Way Cafe, right here in Vinita!

THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST returns to the big screen — and to Center Theater on 66.

Mel Gibson's landmark biblical epic has been newly remastered, and it's back in theaters for the first time in over 20 years. Starring Jim Caviezel as Jesus of Nazareth, the film depicts the final 12 hours of Christ's life — his trial, crucifixion, and resurrection.

Every showing also includes a behind-the-scenes sneak peek at the epic follow-up, The Resurrection of the Christ: Part One — Mel Gibson's sequel, hitting theaters next spring. This is your first look, and it's only playing during this run.
