Another step forward at Old Town Players!

Our new veranda surface and railing are in place and we are one step closer to creating a beautiful outdoor space for you to enjoy!

We can already picture it—friends gathering before a show, chatting during intermission, and enjoying the theater experience just a little longer. ❤️

There’s still more to come, but seeing this progress is SO exciting! Old Town Players is growing, improving, and getting better one project at a time.

The stage is set. The talent is ready. It’s time for the Old Town Players Follies! 🎤🎶

Come out TONIGHT or Saturday night at 7 PM for our community talent showcase featuring local folks stepping into the spotlight to share their talents—and have a whole lot of fun doing it!

You never know what you’ll see at the Follies…music, dance, comedy, and maybe a few surprises. 😉

Tickets are just $10 for adults, seniors and students and $5 for children under 12.

There’s something surprisingly emotional about a theater production coming to an end. After weeks—or months—of rehearsals, late nights, inside jokes, nerves, laughter, missed cues, costume chaos, and countless hours spent together, suddenly there’s a final curtain.

And it’s not just the end of a show. It’s the end of this particular version of these people being together. The cast that walked into the first rehearsal as a group of individuals leaves as a family, carrying memories that can’t quite be recreated.

The set has come down. The costumes are all packed away. The stage has gone quiet. But the friendships, confidence, lessons, laughter, and memories created along the way don’t disappear when the lights go out.

That’s the bittersweet magic of theater: you spend so much time working toward the final performance, only to realize when it arrives that you aren’t ready for it to be over.

And maybe that’s how you know it was something special. ❤️🎭

Performances have been selling out, so people have figured out that this cast is on fire! 🔥

To the absolutely incredible audience who packed the house tonight for Footloose — THANK YOU! ❤️

You didn’t just fill the seats…you brought the ENERGY! The cheering, laughing, clapping, and sheer enthusiasm from the audience gave our cast exactly what they needed to turn it on, crank it up and deliver an absolutely ELECTRIFYING performance! 🔥🎶

There’s something magical about a packed theater. The cast feels it. The crew feels it. And suddenly those hours of rehearsals, sore feet, missed sleep, and summer musical chaos all become completely worth it.

To everyone who helped us SELL OUT again in the midst of so much going on in Vincennes this weekend —you helped create a night our young performers won't soon forget. We are so grateful for every ticket, every cheer, every laugh, and the standing (and in some cases jumping) ovation. ❤️

Old Town Players has the BEST audiences! And judging by the volume in that theater tonight, y’all definitely understood the assignment. 😎

🚨 FOOTLOOSE FIINAL WEEKEND! 🚨

This is it. Your last chance to see Footloose: Youth Edition! Come laugh, cheer, clap until your hands hurt, and watch 53 incredibly talented local teens dance like Reverend Moore isn't watching.

FINAL PERFORMANCES
🕖 Friday – 7:00 PM
🕖 Saturday – 7:00 PM
🕒 Sunday – 3:00 PM

Once that final curtain falls, your only chance to experience Footloose again will be singing "Holding Out for a Hero" in your car... and let's be honest, it's just not the same. 🎶

Tickets may be purchased in advance at Eyeworks, Impressed Coffee on 6th Street, The Vincennes/Knox County Visitor's Bureau, First Vincennes Savings Bank on Kimmel Road and the VU Bookstore.
