Evangeline Riding Club ERC is a family-oriented riding club built to support the future of rodeo by helping youth learn, grow, and compete.

We hold 6 shows each season at the Chauncey Pitre Memorial Building in Ville Platte.

⭐️ NEW EVENT ⭐️

A new event we will be adding this 2026-27 season is tying from the post.

How this works:
Rope will be tied off hard to chute. Calf will be held on the end of the rope. Contestant will run down the rope, get the calf down, and tie the calf. Contestant will start with hand on the chute and the time will start when contestant’s hand leaves the chute. Time stops when the contestant throws his hands up. Same rules apply as tie down roping.

This event is for all age divisions
$20 entry fee

We added this event to give contestants another opportunity to work on the technique and fundamentals of tying a calf in a competitive setting.

The 2026–2027 season is right around the corner, and we can’t wait to be back in the arena with our returning members and meet all of our new contestants as we kick off another great season this September.

Our All-Around Champions are awarded to the contestants in each age division who earned the highest total points across multiple events throughout the year.
