This page is to give updated information on all things Boggy Bayou festival related. The Boggy Bayou Festival is always held the second weekend of May.

The festival begins Thursday with the opening ceremonies and presentation of our newly crowned Festival King and Queen and her royal court. It continues until Saturday night. There is a carnival, craft and food booths, live music, auctions and various contest. The newest addition to our lineup of events is the Mutton Bustin'. The Boggy Bayou Festival is a nonprofit event that was started by Father

Leslie Prescott to gain funds to build a nursing home for Pine Prairie. Proceeds from the festival benefit Prairie Manor Nursing Home. So come on out and visit us, ride a few rides, grab a bag of cotton candy, listen to great live music, and support a great cause.

We are also looking for people who would like to volunteer their time and help with some kids activities. We want to make this a fun family friendly day for the community and for the residents of Prairie Manor Nursing Home. Admission is FREE! We will have a concession and the The Lumberyard Coffee Co will have their mobile coffee trailer there to serve also.

This past Tuesday my Queens and I went visit Prairie Manor Nursing Home to pass out birthday gifts for the month of July.

Safe to say that it was a great reminder of why I do what I do. Hearing words like “I feel so special” and “I feel loved” come from some of these residents is a blessing. Sometimes we bless others in ways we never realize.

I love getting to do this and I still can’t believe this is the life I get to live as the Boggy Bayou Queen.

Queen’s travel update!!💙💙

June 19th: My Mini Miss and Deb Miss Queen tagged along to celebrate Father’s Day at Prairie Manor. A big thank you to our Mini Miss Queen, Landri, and her mom for bringing the fresh picked watermelon for the residents to enjoy! I had such a fun day with these girls while spending time with our residents!🍉

June 29th: After a busy week I had I made a stop at the Prairie Manor Nursing Home. It’s always so good to spend time with these residents and see their smiles!😊

Queen travel update!!

June 14th: I traveled to Gonzales to welcome new royalty at the Gonzales Jambalaya Festival Pageant! Everyone looked so beautiful and I can’t wait to see y’all around!

June 16th: I went visit Prairie Manor! A little rain won’t stop them from having a good day!!

Travel update!

June 5th: I went visit Prairie Manor and hand out birthday gifts for the birthdays in June! We even had a surprise visitor, Bandit!🦝
I loved bringing Bandit along, but I think the residents loved it even more!!

June 6th: I attended the Louisiana Crawfish Festival Pageant and welcomed the new royalty! Congratulations to all!!
