Kate and Mrs. Nina ventured out to Ville Platte this morning to begin working on our Patriotic Painting Project of 6 fire hydrants along Magnolia Street!

There are three different designs that will be sprinkled around the town:
🇺🇸A classic red, white, and blue with stars and stripes
🇺🇸A design featuring the Florian Cross-a symbol for fire fighters that represents protection, courage, and self-sacrifice.
🇺🇸A design prominently showing the numbers, “343”, the number of fire fighters who made the ultimate sacrifice trying to save thousands at the World Trade Center on 9/11.

Look for them when you drive through town, and fly your flag for America’s 250th anniversary!

Happy Mother’s Day from the EAC-to all moms, grandmas, cool aunts, and mom figures!

Our mother’s day Paint and Sip was a SUCCESS! As always, major props to Hundredfold Coffee for hosting.

Our workshop was facilitated by Kate LaCaze, and each person arrived with a customized canvas that matched up with their partner’s! Workshop attendees then painted their still lives how they wanted, and everyone left with a piece that reminded them of coffee with a friend!

Come join us on Monday for a Reading and Craft session! We’ll be reading “The Talking Eggs,” a folktale about making good choices!

🌸 Easter Kids Fun at the Library! 🐣

Join us for a fun-filled afternoon celebrating Easter at the library! Come dressed in your favorite Easter colors and get ready to unleash your creativity by designing your very own Easter egg.
Kids will also enjoy a lively storytelling of “The Talking Eggs” by Robert D. San Souci, plus music and plenty of fun for everyone!
Location: Multi-Purpose Room, Evangeline Parish Library
Cost: FREE and open to the public
This special event is proudly hosted by Evangeline Arts Council in partnership with the Evangeline Parish Library.

Who Can Attend: Kids from 2nd grade and up are especially encouraged to join, but all ages are welcome!
