i’m so looking forward to joining this year’s on october 24th in downtown louisville.

i’ll be signing copies of a language only the earth remembers. throughout the festival from 10am–5pm est, and i’m especially honored to be reading alongside several wonderful poets during a special poetry reading from 2–3pm in room L006.

to create something from the wreckage, and then watch someone recognize the hope still living inside it, is an extraordinary gift. 🖤

i am incredibly grateful to for this beautiful 5/5 review of my forthcoming second poetry collection, shattered glass and hallelujahs.

shattered was born from some of the sharpest edges of the human experience: grief, heartbreak, longing, desire, anger, survival, reclamation, and the strange work of learning how to rise again after we break.

to have that arc recognized is an extraordinary gift. one i will carry with me for the rest of my existence.

eternally grateful for the love from chicago this weekend at . i have grown up in this spiritual city of music, love, and poetry, and to sit within the heart of such a historic event and meet so many of you was beautiful and humbling.

to my fellow poets, miei cari amici, may our words become the music that makes the world dance.

and to my dearest readers, may you take these words home with you and remember that even after ruin, there is something sacred waiting to bloom.

there comes a moment in time when the life we’ve known becomes too small for the person we are becoming.

and having courage was never about the absence of fear, but realizing that the life we now need waits for us far beyond it.
