Hello everyone, We are looking for volunteers to help during the Michigan City Pride Fest in Michigan City, IN this Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm. If you are interested in helping setup between 9:00 am-12:30 pm that would be even better. Thank you in advance. We are looking forward to supporting the LGBTQ community at this year's pride event with Synthetic Ice Skating outdoors

Theatre On Skates Academy – Seeking Instructors

Help skaters grow from beginner steps to dazzling theatre-on-ice performances.

Location: Michigan City, Indiana

Summary: Theatre On Skates Academy (TOSA) seeks enthusiastic instructors to lead learn-to-skate classes on synthetic ice, from beginner steps to mastery-level skills and show performances. This is a great opportunity for skaters of all backgrounds to get involved in figure skating and performing.

Note: All teaching will occur on synthetic ice.

Responsibilities:

Teach Learn to Skate USA and/or ISI-aligned curricula at beginner through advanced levels on synthetic ice

Instruct acting, singing, and dancing on skates within US Figure Skating's framework

Facilitate progressions toward performance-ready skills and show productions on synthetic ice

Maintain a supportive, inclusive, and safe training environment

Requirements:

Basic knowledge of Learn to Skate USA and/or ISI standards
Experience or interest in figure skating, theatre, and stage performance is helpful but not required

Willingness to train and develop expertise in Theatre On Ice concepts

Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills

Availability for a structured training schedule and sessions
