Branson day #3 was a very long day! We started the morning at Fritz’s adventure world where we climbed lots of things and got to adventure around in a really cool building! We then took a short break before heading to The Hughes Brothers. The band and choir got to perform on stage and the experience was phenomenal. The kids had so much fun getting to share their talents with the audience. We really enjoyed our time with The Hughes Brothers.

Today was hard for me, Ms. Stutzman, because it’s the last time I get to conduct these groups at Vici. Ryan and I have been so blessed with these kids and the community support. We really are only moving to be closer to family. I love these students and I promise if you ask any parent on this trip I have cried over these kids more than I’ve cried in a long time. Thank you for letting me share music with your child. We love you Vici! ❤️

Branson day #2 was our day of fun! We started the day at Silver Dollar City and then ended it with Famous Dave’s for dinner and swimming in the pool! The kids are having a blast and they are ready for the performance on Tuesday!

Day #1 in Branson was a success! We left Vici this morning at 6:45am and we drove and drove and drove until we made it to Missouri! We stopped at Braums for lunch and then stopped at the Missouri welcome center. We drove through some serious rain to get here but we made it! After dropping things off at the hotel we went to the Dolly Parton Stampede and performed the pre-show to the 8:00 performance. It was really cool to get to perform for a crowd in a place like this! The kids had so much fun at the stampede. We are finally headed to bed. We spend all day at Silver Dollar City tomorrow so stay tuned for more pictures!!

If you’re wondering if the marching Indians take a break in the summer the answer is no! These kiddos worked their tails off at the K101 classic bowl this past week. They had a blast! Thank you to everyone who makes this FREE event happen for our band kids. Check out the video on our Facebook as well to see their concert in the park and their marching show!

This morning we received our Distinguished Academic Achievement Award for our High School Band program! I am so proud of these students no matter what they are doing! Hard work pays off kiddos ❤️

The 6th grade band traveled to Edmond today to compete in the Heartland Music Festival and spend some fun time at Main Event! These kids have worked so hard this year and today it paid off!! We have lots of hardware coming home with us today. They received a superior rating and an excellent rating on stage which means that they come home with a Superior! They also received 2 outstanding section awards: trumpets and percussion, AND Mackenzie Ladd received the outstanding musician award!!! Good job Indians! Look out High School, here comes the 6th grade!❤️
