Welcome Holly Dyeworks Saturday, June 27

If you have plans this Saturday morning, go ahead and cancel them because you will not want to miss meeting Eve Noelle Hildebrandt, owner and operator of Holly Dyeworks here at KnitHappenz. We are so excited to welcome Eve and her amazing hand-dyed collections inspired by places and experiences from her life.
Like so many of us, Eve was taught her love of hand crafts by her mother and grandmother from a young age. She received her initial training in dyeing, weaving, and various other fiber arts at the John C Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, North Carolina. Eve now lives in Huntsville, Alabama with her husband and children.
We brought back just a sample of Holly Dyeworks fi*****ng weight yarns from the Alabama Fiber Festival last fall and they have been a tremendous hit with our customers. Washcloth Wednesday 26 Week 3
You have probably done a corner-to-corner washcloth, but this week’s project introduces a self-I-cord technique that creates a lovely finished edge. We are also introducing a new yarn in the shop - King Cole’s Cottonsoft Crystal DK. Variegated colors, soft cotton, and yardage galore make it a great yarn for baby and children’s projects, year-round sweaters for our climate, and,of course, washcloths! Come pick up a skein and a pattern and see for yourself!

Washcloth Wednesday Week 2
Nature’s bounty with family and friends around the table makes cleaning up worth it. You can even make it pretty with this Broken Cartridge Rib pattern. This week’s sample is in a pretty spring and summer green in Universal Cotton Supreme. Come pick up a skein and a free pattern with purchase.

Where will you be stitching this Saturday???

It’s one of our favorite days of the year-
World Wide Knit in Public Day is Saturday, June 13 and we are excited to share the day with our customers both near and far! We are extending our shop hours Saturday from 9:30 am to 3 pm so you can have plenty of time to stop by to shop and stitch with us! We are offering our exclusive “I will stitch” t-shirts for $25 this week and will be happy to ship at cost so you can wear them wherever you may be stitching. In addition, we have a special KnitHappenz tote for those who spend $100 or more on Saturday, June 13 (while supplies last) and door prizes drawings for all who make a purchase. Come spend the day and enjoy a fabulous lunch at any one of our neighboring Rocky Ridge restaurants- they will love to have you knit or crochet in public while you enjoy dining with friends.

Washcloth Wednesday Week 1
Moss Stitch Rib is a simple rhythmic 4-row repeat that looks pretty from either side! Washcloth Wednesdays give you an opportunity to try new stitches and new yarns without committing to a large project. This sample is knit in Universal Cotton Supreme, 100% cotton that is sturdy yet softens with use. It’s become one of our favorites for baby blankets because of the color choices and softness. Bring on the summer fun!
June is here and we are ready for it! We have new yarn, new samples and a whole lot of ideas just waiting for you to discover.

Here’s what’s happening at KnitHappenz in June:

June 3 Washcloth Wednesday - a summer favorite is back by popular demand. Each Wednesday we will release a new washcloth pattern for you to pick up at the shop. Anyone and everyone can participate- there’s no sign-up or class to attend. Just come by, pick out your yarn and grab a pattern. It’s a great way to learn a new stitch pattern, try a new yarn, and enjoy small finishing victories throughout the summer. These make great gifts!

June 5- Summer Clearance Sale Begins as we make room for new yarns- no holds and all sales are final on some amazing deals!

June 13- World Wide Knit in Public Day- come join the fun and share your projects. More info to come!

June 27- HollyDyeWorks Trunk Show- we have all fallen in love with the fi*****ng weight beauties and can’t wait to have more in the shop. We hope to introduce more weights as well. We can’t wait! Details to follow.
