As we gear up for another exciting school year with the Woodford County Choir, we wanted to take a moment to recognize some incredible people who helped make last year's New York City trip even more special.

Thanks to these generous supporters, we were able to offset the cost of meals for our students while they were in NYC. Because let's be honest, teenagers can hit the high notes a whole lot better when they're not running on an empty stomach! 🎶🍕🗽

We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Allison Colvin as the new collaborative pianist for Woodford County Choirs! Her incredible experience, passion for music, and dedication to supporting student musicians make her a wonderful addition to our program, and we can’t wait for our students to learn and perform alongside her.

Allison is a retired mathematics teacher who has found her second career as a full-time collaborative pianist. She regularly accompanies middle and high school choirs and musical productions throughout the area and has played piano for productions with Woodford Theatre, Leeds Center for the Arts, Voices Amplified, and Adventure Theater. Over the past year, she has also served as a collaborative pianist for Eastern Kentucky University students, working with performers on oboe, tuba, and trombone. In addition to her performance work, Allison serves as pianist at South Elkhorn Christian Church. She is excited to work with Mr. Strickland and the Woodford County High School Choir program!

We are so excited for the year ahead and know our students will benefit greatly from Allison’s talent, expertise, and enthusiasm. Please join us in giving her a warm Woodford County welcome—we’re so glad she’s part of our choir family! ❤️🎹
