The Jacob Scare The Jacob Scare, is a page dedicated to The Jacob Vogel memorial haunted woods! Jacob Vogel was one of these young people.

Matt Vogel and a group of his friends started a haunted woods on our property and it operated in 2007 and 2008. These boys grew up and went on with their lives so the woods was shut down for two years. Jacob Vogel, one of Matt's younger brothers asked if we could start the woods up again in 2011. In the past this was just for fun and was advertised as Peek-a-Boo Childcare haunted woods and any mon

ey earned was given to the kids who worked the woods. On March 7, 2013 three young people lost their lives in a terrible accident that affected not only their families but the entire community. We decided to change the nature of the haunted woods as fundraiser benefitting The Jacob Vogel Memorial Fund, majority of the proceeds from the haunted woods go to the fund. The Jacob Vogel Memorial Funds pays the expenses for students to attend the Fire and Rescue Class at the Southeastern Career Center, in Versailles, Indiana. The other portion of The Scare Funds are donated to The Friendship Volunteer Fire Department, where Jacob was a cadet fire fighter.
